Wildfire Tips-Seed and boundary
Hello Friends,
This tips is regarding copy the multiple surfaces(Either inner or outer surfaces) of any part using Seed and boundary method.
For example if we want to find the inner volume of the part given below,We should copy all the inner surfaces.Instead of selecting each surfaces individualy,We can use seed and Boundary.
In Pro/E 2001 we have separate options in surface/copy/include/Surf & Bound.But in Wildfire we have to make use of shift selection for Boundary selection
Change seletion mode to "Geometry"
Select any one of inside surfaces as shown below...
Using "shift" select Boundary surfaces as shown.
After selecting all the Boundary surfaces
Click Edit > Copy. The selected surfaces are copied to the clipboard.
Note: You can also copy the surface by pressing CTRL+C.
Click Edit > Paste. The copy surface dashboard opens.
Note: You can also paste the surfaces by pressing CTRL+V.
Click the button on the dashboard.
Pro/ENGINEER creates an exact copy of the inner surfaces as shown below
I have just moved copied surface using copy/Translate for clear understanding.
